Duane Barnhart has been published in regional and national magazines including The Saturday Evening Post, MPLS St. Paul Magazine, Cabin Life Magazine and the Lake Country Journal. Barnhart has drawn a nationally syndicated cartoon strip, several advertising comic books, designed many products featuring Warner Brothers and Disney Characters. Duane has illustrated many children's books. He has taught his successful cartooning techniques to thousands of students in schools and art centers as a Roster Artist with the Minnesota State Arts Board (MSAB) and the COMPAS/WAITS programs

Angie Barnhart is a successful commercial artist, designer, and art director. She uses her cartooning and illustrating skills to produce printed publications for businesses and publishers. Angie has extensive experience conducting cartooning residencies and school visits working with elementary and middle school students. She has taught cartooning in schools, art centers, and college youth programs in Minnesota and Wisconsin since 1994.

Duane and Angie teach cartooning to thousands of enthusiastic cartooning students each year in their residencies and school visits. Together, they manage and operate CARTOON CONNECTIONS STUDIO. The Barnharts are co-authors of the award winning how to cartoon book CARTOONING BASICS.
